Netherlands / United States ALIVE: Architectural Linked Immersive Environment ALIVE is used to evaluate the usability of collaborative virtual reality for architectural design. The ALIVE project started February 1999 at SARA in cooperation with EVL and the Office for Metropolitan Architecture. In February 1998, architect Rem Koolhaas won the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation International Design Competition for the new Campus Center at Illinois Institute of Technology’s historic Mies van der Rohe campus. Contact Edward J.
